I intend to offer the following amendment to Item 60 on Thursday, August 31, with the blanks to be filled after consideration of the requested recommendation of our professional staff, City Manager Hart, and Chief Financial Officer Canally.

AMENDMENT TO ITEM 60

The BE IT RESOLVED clause is amended to read:

The City Manager is directed to appropriate $______ in hotel occupancy taxes for the fiscal year starting October 1, 2017, for restoration and preservation of City-owned historic projects that meet the requirements of Tax Code 351.101(a)(5). These funds are to be appropriated from the 20 5/7% authorized by City Code from the Tourism/Promotion Fund for historical restoration projects. The City Manager is further directed to appropriate $______ from the Convention Center for area improvements as authorized by the bond covenants for the Convention Center bonds.

Council Member Houston would like to know: Which City-owned historic projects are on the list to receive these moneys and which specific "area improvements" are to be paid as per existing bond covenants?
