Agenda Item 66 for November 3, 2016 Council Meeting

From CM Houston: This item, would allow the City Manager or Chief Animal Services Officer to spay/neuter an animal on 1st impoundment. It is not mandatory. The change would allow professional staff at the Animal Center to decide to spay/neuter an animal based on the best interests of the animal.

The new language would read:

Code 3-1-29 Sterilization: The city manager or the manager of an animal shelter may sterilize an animal if it has been impounded one or more times.
