Amendment to Item 14: Social Services

Colleagues,

I want to thank Councilmember Alter for bringing forward a resolution (Item 14) that provides a thoughtful pathway for the evaluation and continuation of our social service safety net. I’d like to propose an amendment that provides further direction to the City Manager to utilize this fiscal year's adopted social service funding levels as a baseline for funding next year. The amendment also seeks to ensure the full City Council has the information to make an informed decision for the future of social service grants.
