Colleagues,
I look forward to moving forward on the Health South redevelopment (item 12) on this week’s Council agenda.

During the work session discussion, there was a request and support for authorizing negotiation of the MDA, but requesting that the execution of any agreement return to Council. If there is any objection to this, please respond here on the message board.

I also shared that while I am pleased with the negotiated deal we have before us, as discussions continue, and if there are further opportunities to improve the deal, I wanted to offer the following direction to City Staff:

If there are any additional amendments or direction to this item, please post in advance. If it looks like we can resolve any amendments/issues relatively quickly, it is my intention to call this item as early as possible so as to allow CM Harper-Madison to participate in the discussion and the vote.
