On behalf of Council Member Houston:

I appreciate all of the ongoing and inclusive conversation regarding components in Item #52 on tomorrow's agenda, but I am going to make a motion to postpone. I am unsure if the will of the majority of council is to postpone, but based on the conversation at the work session and previous message board posts, the feeling I get is that we need more time to digest and review.

Also, more recently the majority of council voted to rescind a decision because a vote was taken when members of the council were not present and the item had not been postponed. In this case the vote may be close so we should take the opportunity to postpone knowing that a council member who has requested the opportunity to vote on the item will not be here.
