Public Engagement Task Force

All, I would like to advise that I will move forward on an item we outlined in our Proposal for Council Meetings and Committees document by crafting a draft resolution for our Jan 29 agenda to form a Public Engagement Task Force, specifically:
Item 4: Take immediate steps to initiate longer term improvements for public engagement ... bullet 2: Initiate a public process to research, obtain public input, and make recommendations to Council on best practices for public engagement in city government. Create Public Engagement Task Force supported by experts in public engagement best practices.
Council Members Gallo, Kitchen and Houston will join me to prepare the resolution and we will circulate the proposed documents and agenda item drafts early next week for review and comment, and request placement on the Jan 29 agenda for appropriate discussion and action.
