Presentation on Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing from 3/27 Mtg

Colleagues,
I wanted to make available the presentation that I was attempting to share at last Thursday's Council Meeting (3/27) regarding how the city approaches Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH) while exploring the Acacia Cliff rezoning. That investigation is still incomplete and my guess is that many of you all are more aware of details here than I am - through prior council experience or dealing with similar projects in your districts. That said, we have met with a number of city staff, architects, developers, AHFC staff, etc. to try to understand what has been done in this space, what options we may have, etc. - and there is still more investigation to do and conversations to have.
I was hoping to share this because I thought it'd be more efficient to quickly step through visually rather than run through orally. I was surprised that despite the many powerpoint presentations that we receive at committee meetings, work sessions, and council meetings, we ourselves don't appear to have a lot of options for conveying this type of information to our colleagues on the council as a whole, short of printing it out and handing it out on the dias - where no one but those on the dias can view it. I understand we want efficient meetings and I suspect there could be times where a presentation with numbers and visuals conveys information faster and more effectively than moving through the same content orally.
Here is the powerpoint:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/ ... ue&sd=true
Thanks. And if this sparks any thoughts or ideas regarding NOAH please reach out.
