I wanted to let you all know the agenda for our first two Mobility Committee meetings, in case anyone plans to participate. The Agendas will be posted with more details - but the following provides you with the items we will cover in these meetings -- which are driven by deadlines for addressing upcoming taxi cab franchise renewals.

Please let me (or the committee members) know if you have any questions or thoughts on what you'd like to see covered in the briefings.

Mobility Committee March Meeting
Wednesday, March 25th
9am to 11am

Briefings on the following:
1. Taxi Cab Task Force report - proposed amendments to the Taxi Cab Ordinance
2. Taxi Cab Franchises - to prepare for upcoming franchise renewal process
3. TNC Working Group report - recommendations/update on regulatory framework for operation of TNCs
4. Charter Services Revisions - related to regulation of charter vehicle services

MOBILITY COMMITTEE MEETING APRIL
Wednesday, April 1st
4pm to 7pm

Briefings on the following:
1. Transportation Funding
2. Existing maintenance contract with TxDot

CM Kitchen, given the press surrounding staff's recent approvals for Lyft and, later, Uber to pick up passengers at AIBA, it would be helpful to all of us if we could see copies of the contracts/agreements inked for both TNCs, and possibly have an update on that angle under your TNC item #3.

Thank you, Council Member Kitchen. Can you please confirm that next week's meeting will be televised? I'm keenly interested in the issues that the Mobility Committee will be covering, but as this first meeting overlaps with our regular Audit and Finance Committee meeting, I will be unable to attend in person.
